The sister in the story is the least fav child of the grandma, Granma always calls her no use(moyong) in the story. its very true since in china a lot of people like boys better then girls. the old grandparents are almost crazy about this. Poh-Poh also try's to teach the children in the old ways that they where rised.

Why do you think that boys are generally more favored by parents than girls. Is it only because boys tend to have the physique fit for working? or are there other reasons? How do you feel about this?
